FONEMZ®: Speak and Read
A fun evidence-based, multimodal, hierarchical program
for Phonemic Awareness, Speech Sound Production,
Spelling, and Reading
FONEMZ® utilizes a different color and a different shape to represent each of the phonemes in English.
The FONZABET bridges to spelling and reading by using the same 40 colors for the associated letter combinations.
Now - Video Shorts of the Five Milestones
These are the hierarchical steps in which the FONEMZ: Speak and Read program progresses from sound recognition to reading.
The videoed subjects are children, but the same process is true for all ages, including adults.

FONEMZ is a fun, multi-sensory and multimodal way to learn to speak, spell, read and write.
A learner does not need to know anything before beginning to use it.
Through the use of FONEMZ, the concepts of a sound (a phoneme) and speaking the sound (phoneme production) are clearly demonstrated.
In fun, highly engaging activities, the beginning reading concepts of:
sound symbol association, sound blending and left to right progression are taught.
Students quickly build phonological awareness and auditory discrimination skills by using visual, tactile, proprioceptive and kinesthetic association in highly interactive fun activities.
Through the use of the FONZABET literacy skills are greatly enhanced, no matter what the language level, in response to this stimulating intervention.
