She has worked as Special Day Class teacher in Communicatively Handicapped, Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing and Learning Handicapped classrooms. Her titles have included mentor teacher, master clinician and a clinical instructor. She has done extensive research and presentations on phonemic awareness, severe speech sound disorders, literacy and multimodal learning with multiple ages and disabilities, including populations with deafness, apraxia, dyslexia, autism, Down syndrome, AAC device users, Head Start preschoolers, English learners and adults who acquired apraxia after a stroke.
